Nokia N80 - Just Too Good

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Adam_Jaylin]Adam Jaylin The Nokia N80 is the kind of device that symbolises the progress mankind has made in 21st century. This one device is an excellent communicating device that is also capable in supporting multimedia content and besides this the N80 also clicks some mean pictures and shoots amazing videos as well! If you thought this is it, then think again as with devices like Nokia N80 you never know when you end up discovering a new application. A 3G slider device, one can consider its imaging capabilities as the starting point while trying to document its virtues! It has an active matrix display worth an amazing 352×416 pixels which is one of the best in the market and acts as a perfect platform for its 3 megapixels camera. The 20x digital zoom allows you to get a detailed picture while the video recording feature turns your handset into a handy camcorder. The pictures (and for that matter any data) can be easily shared using various connectivity features like the Bluetooth & USB 2.0 full speed via Pop-Port for local transfers and Wireless LAN (WiFi) for web sharing or transfers. Besides these the 3G capability is always there to boost up connectivity and data transfer rates, while a dedicated browser ensures that the data flow is both ways! The N80 is also one of the very few Nokia phones that are equipped with Quad-Band GSM network that effectively means that globally wherever you are, with the Nokia N80 you will always remain connected. The internal memory of the n80 is surprisingly modest at just 40MB but through the external microSD memory card it can go up to a huge 2GB. This proves the real blessing for the digital music player allowing it to play all the favourite tracks of the user that he is sure to store in the handset or the memory card. After all who is averse to good music! The multimedia player supports multiple file formats and plays them through the stereo audio. The N80 integrates a stereo FM radio that also adds the dimension of infotainment to the handset. This whole unit runs on a Symbian series 60 OS and that means besides its conventional e-mail client other mail systems like the Blackberry can also be added to convert this into a sort of mini laptop. The PIM functions will ensure that after buying the [http://www.ukonlinemarket.co.uk/mobile/Phone_Deal.asp?Ph=Nokia--N80]Nokia N80 your PDA will become your costliest paperweight and life much easier and hassle free! Types of Books For Autistic Children

Monday, November 26th, 2007

By Rachel Evans When you know someone with an autistic child, you may be wondering what are safe presents, and which ones you might want to skip. This will depend on the child, and a parent can probably tell you what is good and what is not. Many times clothes and loud toys are not a good idea, as you dont know how they will respond to the textures or the noises associated with them. There are many times when books for autistic children are just the ticket, but you should remember that there are some that are better than others, and the reasons for this are quite simple. One of the first things to consider when you want to buy books for autistic children is the material the book is made from. This might be something that would not be a consideration for a child without autism, but it is a matter of importance. Some children with autism love to tear paper. They will do this repeatedly. If you get them a book made with paper pages, they will probably rip it to shreds. Instead, find the large block books that are made from cardboard. They will not be able to rip these nearly as easily, though it is possible. If they chew on things, you might want to skip the cardboard as well and go for the types that are made of pliable plastic. Be careful not to choose the ones with squeaky inserts, as they might be sensitive to those noises. When choosing a type of book, you may want to ask the parent what the child prefers. If the child loves to sit and hear stories, they would probably love to get books that are about children and animals. They may simply enjoy something that is full of pictures. These pictures can be about anything, but for most young children, pictures of other children, babies, or animals are popular. There are some that have a theme, such as space or farm, that can be used to teach association. When it comes to older children, you should ask the parent what to get. They know better than anyone what their child likes, and they also know the level of intellect. Some autistic children are highly intelligent, and they will need something to stimulate their mind. There are also some books that are meant to help with socialization and language skills. Because many children have problems socializing, and often have communication problems (despite that fact that they might have an extensive vocabulary), these books can really help. There are books written and developed just for children with autism. These books for autistic children can help them understand their world a little better, and will also help them to understand others These books are also made for children who might have a sibling with autism, or if they have someone in their class with this condition. Understanding and knowledge go a long way towards helping these children adjust, and if siblings and classmates understand, they are less likely to pick on them and make them feel like they are different. What is an Offer in Compromise?

Saturday, November 24th, 2007

By Kevin Stith An “offer in compromise” is an offer of financial compromise made to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), under special circumstances, by those who are unable to pay their tax debts. It enables taxpayers to benefit in cases where they are doubtful about accuracy of the assessed tax amount and believe that they are not liable to pay the amount of tax expected of them. An offer in compromise is also made if there is a doubt on a taxpayer’s capability to ever pay the complete amount of tax owed. If both conditions mentioned above are not met, and the assessed tax is correct and there is no doubt about a taxpayer’s ability to pay the tax in full, but an exceptional circumstance exists then it allows the IRS to reconsider the taxpayers “offer in compromise.” To fully qualify for “offer in compromise,” a taxpayer must prove to the IRS that if the pending taxes are collected, then it will cause extreme economic hardship to the taxpayer. “Economic hardship” for this purpose is if the taxpayer is incapable of earning a living because of an illness, disability, or medical condition and it is obvious that the economic resources of the person in question will be depleted because of medical care and support or if the taxpayer has assets which when liquidated will render the taxpayer unable to meet basic living expenses. It will also consider circumstances where the taxpayer is not capable of borrowing against the equity in his assets and disposition by seizure or sale of the assets would have sufficient adverse repercussions. If all the conditions mentioned above are fulfilled and the offer in compromise is to be put into action, then a form called form 656 should be filled. Among other conditions, the taxpayer must agree that he/she will file and pay all pending taxes for a period of 5 years after the offer. It is advisable to read the renewed regulations under Section 301.7122-1 T. of the IRS to gain more details about “offer in compromise.” Offer In Compromise provides detailed information on Offer In Compromise, Irs Offer In Compromise, Offer In Compromise Help, Offer In Compromise Software and more. New Marketing And Promotional Ideas

Saturday, November 24th, 2007

By Steven Gillman New marketing and promotional ideas! Free! Most are related to internet-based businesses, but even those can usually be adopted in some way to other businesses. Here are half a dozen marketing ideas to get you thinking. A one-hour coupon. Offline businesses that want to increase the traffic to their websites can announce an “internet coupon” good for a free drink (or whatever). The coupon would be up on the site for an hour, sometime on a Friday, say. Visitors will return again and again to try to be there at the right time to get the freebie. If you collect pay-per-click advertising fees, this repeat traffic might be especially profitable. Free gift article teaser. A free gift is certainly not a new marketing idea, but it hasn’t been done much in internet article “resource boxes.” My click-throughs from articles increased when I started putting in the author’s resource box, “For more information and a free gift, visit…” The gift is usually a short course, or an e-book. If you don’t want to write an e-book, you can find one with free distribution rights. Word links for sale. Maybe you have heard about the entrepreneur that sold a million pixels on one web page for a dollar each. Advertisers could buy a minimum of 100, and the image would link to their site. I’ve seen many copycats, but I haven’t yet seen anyone selling words. This could be even better for advertisers, because they could buy the words that are relevant to their products. A page full of random words isn’t pretty, but these things get publicity and traffic for their novelty. Product user contests. If you have a product that’s used in many ways or many places, this is a great promotional gimmick: a contest to see who has used their cell phone, watch, or whatever in the wildest place or the most unusual way. (”I took my walkman to the north pole!”) Customers could post their stories and photos directly to your company web site. They wiould return repeatedly to see new stories, and the results of the competition. Advertising on cereal boxes. A lot of time is spent staring at cereal boxes. Perhaps you could get a good rate on advertising on them. There have had some advertising, but no boxes covered in ads yet. Brokering ad space on cereal boxes could be a good business to get into. Pay for article placement. Many of us distribute articles to generate traffic to our web sites, and many also pay to advertise. Since articles are especially good marketing tools, why not pay to have other webmasters put them on their sites? This is done for free now, but not often enough. Maybe offer a small one-time fee, with a minimum time commitment. Explain that leaving the article there forever can generate search engine traffic. Put ads on private cars, advertising on sidewalks, have a contest to see who can get your product mentioned on and seen on TV - there are endless possibilities for new marketing and promotional ideas. Fat Loss Uncovered

Friday, November 23rd, 2007

By Nordine Zouareg You don’t want to have a lot of fat in your diet, you may burn the fat that you eat, but you are not going to get rid of much of the fat that is already in your body unless you force your body to mobilize fat and it is not going to happen if you eat too much fat. The fat calories are much more readily converted into fatty acid than calories from carbohydrates or protein. Protein is the most difficult one to convert into stored body fat (fatty acid) and tend to fill -up a person so they eat fewer calories in subsequent meals, reducing overall calories eaten if they eat a snack that is high in protein. The Idea is to try eating less than you spend. For example if you eat 2500 calories and your total expenditure for the day is 2500 calories, you should reduce by 500 calories your intake, eating 2000 calories instead. In doing so the difference of 500 calories burned will play a favorable role in your goal of loosing weight (fat weight). Knowing that 1lbs of fat is 3500 cal., you can easily calculate the amount of fat you want to lose and the length of time it would take you to burn it. Take somebody who weighs 200lbs and wants to lose 20lbs of fat: 20lbs x 3500 cal = 70 000 calories to burn. 70 000 / 500 = 140. It would take 140 days for a person who burns 500 extra calories a day to lose 20lbs of fat. About five months. You can also accelerate the process of fat burning by spending a lot more calories than you are actually taken in. Supplementing your meals with amino acids like; methionine, inositol and choline can slightly augment fat burning. But you need to be working-out at leas thirty minutes three times a week and your diet have to be balanced in these proportions; 15% fat, 35% protein and 50% carbohydrates (25% fibrous carbohydrates, 25% starchy carbohydrates). The absolute ideal for speeding up your metabolism in order to burn more fat is to exercise frequently by doing cardiovascular exercises like, treadmill, cross-trainer, stairmaster, versaclimber, bicycle, walking etc…and performing some strength training a few times a week. You don’t have to kill yourself exercising, it’s just one part of the equation and therefore 20 to 30 min a day is plenty. The intensity of the workout is what really matters not the quantity. Try to eat five to six little meals versus two or three big ones. Spacing the meals by eating every three to four hours, and drinking between meals not during. Eight to ten cups of water is recommended, sodas, coffee, tea and alcohol are not hydrating they only dehydrate you. If you drink coffee or tea make sure you supplement it with one glass of water for each cup of coffee or tea. The need of weighing yourself once a week is important but not necessary. You can still loose fat weight but the scale remains the same. The reason for that can be very simple you replacing the fat by some muscles, your body is beginning to take shape. Some other phenomenon can also happen, you are loosing weight but your size is the same. In this case your body is burning the fat your have inside, and the content of fat your body holds inside can be as much as the fat you carry under the skin and between the muscle fibers. It can take as much as several weeks to start burning the outside fat. Another excellent way to monitor the fat burning is the mirror. Start checking yourself in the mirror more often. But the best is still the scale; check your weight once a week. Mind set is key to succeed in achieving your fast-lost goal. Visualize yourself being at the weight you want to be or the way you want to look and feel. Buy yourself clothes that you dream of wearing the day you reach your goal (it can be several size smaller, it doesn’t matter because you know you will wear them soon). Have the people around you participate if they are willing. 3 Important Tips To Make Your Online Business a Success

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

By Cyndie King So you have decided to start an online business. You have read a bunch of ebooks, and thoroughly studied and researched starting an online business. You built a website, purchased a domain name and now you are ready to go. You decide to follow the PPC methods of getting traffic and sales and after a few weeks, nothing happens. Youre now very disgruntled and decide that maybe this isnt for you. Even though you went through all the right steps, you missed some extremely major steps that I would like to discuss with you today. Tip # 1 Understand your customer Do you really understand your customer? Most people start a business from their own frame of mind. They start a business thinking, I want to make money, I want to pay off these bills, I want to buy a new car or I want to go on vacation. You see, you start the business from what you want rather than what the customer wants. So above all else, understand that your customer or the person that comes to your website is missing something in their life and wants to find it. They have an emptiness in their life and think that by coming to your website, they might be able to fill that emptiness. So you the business owner must change your mindset and get yourself out of the way and put the needs, wants and desires of your customer at the forefront of your business. Tip # 2 You must be the Leader There is an old adage that says that you can lead the horse to water, but you cant make them drink. In your world of building an online business, I would like to stress that this is your job. It is not only to lead your customer to the water but in your leading you must understand that they will drink the water. As you build your online business, everything that you do must be based on the fact that you understand that your customer is missing something in their life, and you are there to bring them that something that they are missing. As they discover that you have what they are missing, they will drink the water. Tip # 3 You are the Relationship Builder As you bring that customer to the water, you have developed a relationship with that customer. It is your job to keep that customer and continue to provide that customer with the things that he is missing in his life. Remember in Tip # 1 we talked about understanding the customer. You must remember that once the emptiness has been filled, it is human nature for that emptiness to return. Think about that. A lot of women love to buy shoes and purses. If a woman goes to the store to buy a pair of shoes and walks out of the store with that pair of shoes, she has just filled that emptiness. Will that emptiness be filled permanently? No, her friend has a different pair of shoes that she really likes and she decides that she wants a pair also. So that emptiness has returned. As the business owner, you want to make sure that you are the one to continually fill that emptiness. To do this you must build a relationship with that customer so that when that emptiness needs to be filled, your business is there to fill the need, they know it; they know you and they will come to you. So to create a successful business, be it online or offline, you must be sure that your mindset is such that you understand your customer, be a leader that leads the customer based on understanding what motivate them, and finally understand that you are in the business of building relationships first, not selling products. If you know what your customer wants, and can continually provide them with what they want by building a relationship with them, your business will be extremely successful. Healing a Broken Heart

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

By Christopher Walker There is a big difference between pain and suffering. Pain is when you cut your hand. You dont worry about your hand if you know it will get better. Suffering is when youre not sure that your hand will heal, and you worry about what is going to happen. In relationship, pain comes and goes, and this is normal. Suffering in relationship comes when you hold back love because you are worried about whether your relationship will survive the pain. To be in sacred love, you will need to know how to heal pain, and prevent the suffering that takes place from holding onto the past. Resentment wont do. It just builds and builds. Think of unfinished emotional business as tiny cracks in a giant wall. One by one adding up, causing suffering. Every piece of compromise, every emotional expectation, every judgement and criticism you pass to your lover, is a nail in the coffin of love. Pain in relationship cannot continue for long unless you are holding back love. This can be confusing because how can you love someone who hurt you, broke your trust? But you need to see these as two separate things. One is love the other is your ego, protecting you by blaming and judging, and therefore blocking the love. This is the greatest pain of all. When you stop letting the love for somebody out, you hurt yourself. If you stop admitting that you love somebody, then you break your own heart. Because your heart only knows one thing, it knows how to love. It doesnt know how not to love. So, when you block your love for somebody, you block it to yourself, your next partner, and your next, and your next and so on, until you change. You block it for your whole life, especially if it is a parent to whom you block your love. Now this is of vital importance if you are truly wanting to fall in love again. The person who is holding back love for one person in the past by being right, or blaming them, or judging them, cannot fully release that love to another, because they are afraid of that suffering. So they remain broken hearted, but try to get on with their lives. This just doesnt work. The key to healing is to love more. Pain is emotional blockage that stops love. But there is no need to stop loving someone, just because they are not with you. If they hurt you, lied to you, or cheated on you, then you can be really truthful and admit, No more than I did to myself. All that aside, just because somebody doesnt do what you thought they were going to do, it is not a signal to stop loving them. Just a signal to love them more. The more you love something, or someone, the less you are attached to them. If you emotionalise, then you are attached and cant survive without them. Or you can be so angry that you cant feel how much you love them. However, if this happens you go back out into the world bitter, and people smell your bitterness. Then, the only relationships you can have are bitter ones. So it is better to love the past, admire their gifts and their beauty, and simply say, That past relationship failed because I wasnt ready to love that person enough. I drew the line at something. Wish them happiness. That means you arent responsible for their happiness. You wish them love and happiness. Then you are not in the loop anymore. You simply do all you can, as a citizen of the earth, to make another human beings life good. You dont take credit and dont take blame. Just love. Simply love them more and know that you have every trait you are condemning in them. So if you can admire them, you are admiring you, this is especially healthy. Recovering From a Career Crisis

Sunday, November 18th, 2007

By Garrett Coan If you have ever experienced any of the following, you have had a career crisis: Losing your job Being fired Burning out Not wanting to do your job for one more day A career crisis can be caused either by someone else (being laid off) or by your own feelings (burning out). Common Causes of Career Crises There are many reasons why people experience career crises. Here are a few: Corporate downsizing Burnout Relocating for your spouses career Being fired Making the wrong career move Corporate politics Not fitting in Why a Career Crisis Is So Devastating A career crisis is almost always devastating because it can impact your life in so many ways. Here are a few examples: 1. Money: Losing your income with no warning can be financially devastating. 2. Status: If your job gives you status or a professional identity, you may feel devastated without it. 3. Surprise: If the job loss happens without warning, you will probably feel shocked. 4. Self-esteem: You may feel embarrassed by what has happened. 5. Feeling alone: You are likely to lose friends and companions when you no longer work in the same place. 6. Feeling out of synch: Your regular routine may be disrupted. 7. Confusion: If the crisis happens because of burnout or for reasons inside yourself, you may feel confused about what to do next. 8. Effect on others: If people around you depend on your income and need you to be predictable, they may react negatively to your crisis. Career Crisis: Who It Hurts the Most A career crisis hurts you because it is devastating to your ego. The hurt tends to be greater when one gets a sense of identity and self-esteem from his or her job title, status, and income. A crisis hurts your family because they must experience the emotional fallout that follows a crisis. Your family may also experience a feeling of lost self-esteem and status, especially if you were fired or laid off. The Flashback Effect A major loss like this sometimes can cause you to reach back into the past and reactivate unfinished business from a major loss, or a crisis from an earlier time. For example, when Sharon was terminated after seven months at her dream job, she became very depressed. While depression is a normal reaction to such a loss, Sharon was reacting to losing her job and the similar feelings she had when she flunked out of a top university 12 years earlier. When she finally saw a therapist after a few weeks of depression following the job loss, she saw that she had never fully resolved her feelings about failing in college. Here are some other points about recovery: 1. The process of recovering from a career crisis will happen on its own schedule. It cant be rushed. 2. Every person responds to a career crisis differently. There is no right way to respond or to deal with it. 3. Depending on the circumstances, processing a career crisis can take years. 4. Build and use a support system. People need other people when they are experiencing such a crisis. A group of people who have experienced similar losses is especially helpful. 5. It is a good idea to find support outside of your family and friends. Even the most supportive may grow tired of hearing about your situation, or you may find yourself censoring your behavior to avoid alienating them. However, you still need help and a place to let your feelings out. How to Help Someone in a Career Crisis Here are a few ideas for being helpful to people going through career crises: 1. People need support when they are having a career crisis, even though they may seem to push you away. 2. Ask how you can help. 3. Dont give advice unless asked. 4. Check in regularly with the crisis victim; let him or her know youre there. 5. Remind the crisis victim of what a good person he or she is, even without the identity and status that the job provided. 6. Sometimes a career crisis sends a person into a serious depression for which help is needed. If you sense danger, urge the crisis victim to seek help. How to Turn a Crisis into a Victory Here are some suggestions for turning a career crisis into a victory: 1. Give yourself time to heal. If recovery is rushed or interrupted, the crisis victim will not fully heal and a victory is not possible. 2. Remind yourself as often as necessary that your pain will end and you will eventually feel happy again. 3. Avoid jumping into something new on the rebound; let yourself experience all the stages of grief. 4. Accept that many people will not understand the depth of your grief. They will not understand why this is so difficult for you, and they will say stupid things. 5. Use the opportunity to stop and consider other options. 6. Explore what meaning your feelings have for you. If we pay attention to them, our feelings can lead us places we would otherwise never visit. 7. Keep a journal of your experiences. Make it your intention to see what there is to be learned from this experience. 8. A loss such as a career crisis can be viewed as both a door-closer and a door-opener. Start thinking about what you are learning and gaining from this experience. 9. Create a ceremony of letting go. Yours will be as unique as your experience. The Career Crisis Recovery Exercise Write out your answers to the following questions. This self-help exercise can help you process your feelings about what has happened to you. 1. Describe what happened when your career crisis happened. 2. Describe the job or career. Where did you work? What was it like? Who did you work with? What do you miss the most? What do you not miss at all? 3. Describe your feelings about the loss of the job or career. 4. What has the impact of this crisis been on your life? What else have you lost because of your career crisis? 5. What barriers stop you from moving on? 6. What are 10 things you can do starting today to continue the recovery process? The Rewards of a Medical Coding Career
