Marketing 101, Do You Use These Tools?

Of course, you have invested wisely and invested in all of the right materials, software and equipment to move your business forward. You have an attorney, accountant and a great business manager and everything else that you need. You now are ready to go. How do you get customers to your business? They usually dont show up because you opened for business. You need to lead them to your product or service. Usually, you will have to do some advertising? How much is up to you and often, a business person invests 5% - 10% of capital into bringing a new customer into the fold. The most important part of your advertising is your Universal Selling Proposition or your USP. Now, you need your sales offer. How do you get the prospect interested in your offer? What product are you offering? Is it new and different or is it something that has been around and you need to make it EXCITING? Maybe you are offering a new service or a special service, is that it? Is your pricing becoming more competitive? Where do your products or services fit into the marketplace and with the competition? Find the benefits and sell them; not the features. People are interested in Whats in it for ME and that would be the features. Get a good hook for the headline and sub-headline. This is what will grab the customers attention. Offer an attractive reason to invest in your product or service. Remember, W.I.I.F.M, Whats in it for ME? Remember, WIIFM radio and keep it playing in your head when you are selling your wares. Do you have an attractive premium or a bonus offer for purchasing? This works wonders. People, by human nature want more. Its just the way it is. I know that some people buy because they want the bonus offers as much or more than the offer by itself. A free gift for coming in or just responding will build your prospect list and create a warm to hot future prospect market. Collect data about your prospect and never lose that data. Get an email address, name and phone number. Your future is in the follow-up. Never lose a lead because they may become your biggest customer. Ive seen it happen more than once. Give the offer away freely but put a time frame on responding to it and present it as a valuable asset. Marketing is what happens before the sales are made. People want value, integrity and service in todays marketplace. Marketing is King and Queen for sales. Use these tools and you will increase you business by turning new leads and prospects into lifelong and valuable customers.
