Surviving The Coming Great Tribulation - Apostle Series - Chapter Two

April 28th, 2008 by edytachaar

By Rascal Miles This “Surviving The Coming Great Tribulation - Apostle Series” of ezine articles will be posted on my websites for easy access also - or you can access them at EzineArticles.com by entering the author name Rascal Miles. In brief, these articles will not - each one - talk of this apostle’s belief that those who wish to survive the 1st half of ‘The Great Tribulation’ need to earn enough money ‘Now’ to be able to ‘Move Fast’ when The Holy Spirit says ‘GO!’ Toward that end, banners and links to ‘Honest’, and ‘Established’ MLM ‘Free Sign-Up Trials’ are on the author’s websites Jesus4You.ws and MilesBooks.com. Chapter Two After over 20 years of prayer and study, I believe in a ‘Mid-Trib Rapture’. The Apostle, Paul, wrote of this miraculous event in his letter to believers. ‘(CEV) 1 Thessalonians 4:11 Try your best to live quietly, to mind your own business, and to work hard, just as we taught you to do. 12 Then you will be respected by people who are not followers of the Lord, and you won’t have to depend on anyone. 13 My friends, we want you to understand how it will be for those followers who have already died. Then you won’t grieve over them and be like people who don’t have any hope. 14 We believe that Jesus died and was raised to life. We also believe that when God brings Jesus back again, he will bring with him all who had faith in Jesus before they died. 15 Our Lord Jesus told us that when he comes, we won’t go up to meet him ahead of his followers who have already died. 16 With a loud command and with the shout of the chief angel and a blast of God’s trumpet, the Lord will return from heaven. Then those who had faith in Christ before they died will be raised to life. 17 Next, all of us who are still alive will be taken up into the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the sky. From that time on we will all be with the Lord forever. 18 Encourage each other with these words.’ Many respected ministries teach of a ‘Pre-Trib Rapture.’ At first, I bought into that school of thought. Hal Lindsey did an excellent job of establishing the validity of Jesus Christ in his bestseller, “The Late, Great Planet Earth.” As Hal presented a good case for a ‘Pre-Tribulation Rapture’ - which spared Christians of having to endure any of the for-told ‘7-years of Tribulation’ - I liked that position very much. I have since come to believe that we will have to endure the first 3 and a half years before Jesus returns for His ‘Bride Of Christ,’ the church. So what can we do to protect ourselves - and our loved ones - from the powers that be during the 1st half of Tribulation? Yes, as through-out God’s believers history, there will be martyrs. Yet, I feel that a great many of God’s elect can buy their time - 42 months - until Our Lord returns to ‘Rapture’ those remaining. Scriptures promise: ‘(CEV) Matthew 24:13 But if you keep on being faithful right to the end, you will be saved.’ ‘(CEV) Mark 13:13 Everyone will hate you because of me. But if you keep on being faithful right to the end, you will be saved.’ ‘ (CEV) Romans 11:13 I am now speaking to you Gentiles, and as long as I am an apostle to you, I will take pride in my work. 14 I hope in this way to make some of my own people jealous enough to be saved. 15 When Israel rejected God, the rest of the people in the world were able to turn to him. So when God makes friends with Israel, it will be like bringing the dead back to life. 16 If part of a batch of dough is made holy by being offered to God, then all of the dough is holy. If the roots of a tree are holy, the rest of the tree is holy too. 17 You Gentiles are like branches of a wild olive tree that were made to be part of a cultivated olive tree. You have taken the place of some branches that were cut away from it. And because of this, you enjoy the blessings that come from being part of that cultivated tree. 18 But don’t think you are better than the branches that were cut away. Just remember that you are not supporting the roots of that tree. Its roots are supporting you. 19 Maybe you think those branches were cut away, so that you could be put in their place. 20 That’s true enough. But they were cut away because they did not have faith, and you are where you are because you do have faith. So don’t be proud, but be afraid. 21 If God cut away those natural branches, couldn’t he do the same to you? 22 Now you see both how kind and how hard God can be. He was hard on those who fell, but he was kind to you. And he will keep on being kind to you, if you keep on trusting in his kindness. Otherwise, you will be cut away too. 23 If those other branches will start having faith, they will be made a part of that tree again. God has the power to put them back. 24 After all, it wasn’t natural for branches to be cut from a wild olive tree and to be made part of a cultivated olive tree. So it is much more likely that God will join the natural branches back to the cultivated olive tree. 25 My friends, I don’t want you Gentiles to be too proud of yourselves. So I will explain the mystery of what has happened to the people of Israel. Some of them have become stubborn, and they will stay like that until the complete number of you Gentiles has come in. 26 In this way all of Israel will be saved, as the Scriptures say, “From Zion someone will come to rescue us. Then Jacob’s descendants will stop being evil. 27 This is what the Lord has promised to do when he forgives their sins.” 28 The people of Israel are treated as God’s enemies, so that the good news can come to you Gentiles. But they are still the chosen ones, and God loves them because of their famous ancestors. 29 God doesn’t take back the gifts he has given or forget about the people he has chosen. 30 At one time you Gentiles rejected God. But now Israel has rejected God, and you have been shown mercy. 31 And because of the mercy shown to you, they will also be shown mercy. 32 All people have disobeyed God, and that’s why he treats them as prisoners. But he does this, so that he can have mercy on all of them. 33 Who can measure the wealth and wisdom and knowledge of God? Who can understand his decisions or explain what he does? 34 “Has anyone known the thoughts of the Lord or given him advice? 35 Has anyone loaned something to the Lord that must be repaid?” 36 Everything comes from the Lord. All things were made because of him and will return to him. Praise the Lord forever! Amen. The following three scriptures are so very important to mankind - and to this article - that I feel I should present them in four of the most respected Biblical translations. Scripture # 1 (Involves ‘The Great Tribulation’): ‘(NKJV) Matthew 24:21 “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.’ ‘(NASB) Matthew 24:21 “For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will.’ ‘ (KJV) Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.’ ‘(CEV) Matthew 24:21 This will be the worst time of suffering since the beginning of the world, and nothing this terrible will ever happen again.’ Scripture # 2 ( Involves “The Antichrist’): ‘(NKJV) 2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for [that Day will not come] unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,’ ‘(NASB) 2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,’ ‘(KJV) 2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;’ ‘(CEV) 2 Thessalonians 2:3 But don’t be fooled! People will rebel against God. Then before the Lord returns, the wicked one who is doomed to be destroyed will appear.’ Scripture # 3 (Involves Commerce and ‘The Mark Of The Beast’): ‘(NASB) Revelation 13:17 and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name.’(KJV) Revelation 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.’ ‘(KJV) Revelation 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.’ ‘(CEV) Revelation 13:17 they all had to have this mark, or else they could not buy or sell anything. This mark stood for the name of the beast and for the number of its name.’ I feel that the stage is set for the greatest drama that has been played out on Earth since Jesus was born here, taught here, healed people here, allowed Himself to be crucified here, was raised from death by His Father here, and - before ascending to heaven - gave us who are alive here ‘The Great Commission,’ (KJV) Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.’ As His servants that are still here, we should be continuing to carry out Our Lord and Master’s orders. Jesus didn’t say, “Go get yourself killed for me.” Jesus did say,’(KJV) Matthew 18:14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.’ While we are alive, we can tell others,’(KJV) John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.’ During the 1st half of ‘The Great Tribulation’, many will perish. Yet others will be saved by those who testify and witness as to the goodness of Our Lord and Him having provided them with a deliverance vessel, as God had provided for Noah and his family. I believe that for many - who have ears to hear - the sound of an invitation to earn the means by which to position themselves and their loved ones securely away from the cities - where most of the chaos and the dissident collections might - occur will have a pleasant ring. I am suggesting that smart Christians - and others who will be targeted - make lots of money fast! The same Precious Savior that “Cured” me of “Incurable” MS (Multiple Sclerosis) provided me with a “Financial Deliverance Vessel” to sail to some remote destination - the directions involving where - God will provide at the proper time. We cannot all go the the same place. He has prepared places for each of His elect to weather the coming storm. Our cleft in the rock, if you will? Does Your Marketing Plan Fit?

April 26th, 2008 by edytachaar

By Sandra Martini Ask small business owners what they are afraid of most in their businesses and you typically get one of two responses: marketing and bookkeeping. Were going to tackle just the marketing side today and leave bookkeeping for another day. Its all too common for small business owners to avoid marketing their businesses until they need to. Need meaning that they need more money and, therefore, additional clients. In reality, small business owners are no different from larger companies in that they should be marketing themselves all the time. Despite that fact, I often hear the following from my clients: I hate marketing. I dont like the thought of having to sell myself to people. Im not comfortable cold calling. The above all boil down to the same thing: a lack of understanding about what marketing can and should be. Marketing is not about opening the phone book and calling everyone to see if they want your services or spamming every email address you can get your hands on. Marketing allows you to get the word out about your business. It allows you to tell people who you are and what you do so that when they need you and your services, youre there. Youve already established a relationship through your marketing, even if youve never actually spoken with them before. Studies show that it takes a person seeing/hearing about you 7 to 10 times before they remember you. Consistent marketing to your target audience is critical. Developing a marketing plan that fits not only your business, but you personality is a critical part of being a successful business. Maybe youre the type of person who loves networking meetings, running a trade show booth and participating in lots of public events. Conversely, you may detest networking events and shun anything remotely related to the public. It doesnt matter. The important thing is to know yourself before you write your marketing plan. Are you an extrovert? If so, go to the networking events; arrange to have a booth at your target audiences trade shows; host teleclasses. Work these types of campaigns into your marketing plan. Are you an introvert? Send newsletters (online or offline), participate in online forums (such as Yahoo Groups or Ryze), do direct mail campaigns to your target audience. You get the idea make your marketing plan and activities work with you rather than against you. The overall goal of your marketing plan is to create campaigns and action steps that reflect your personality while insuring that your marketing funnel remains full at all times. A full marketing funnel has all of the following: Prospective clients who have just heard about you.Prospective clients who recognize your name when they hear it.Prospective clients who feel they know you and that youve developed a relationship with them.If the time is right for you both, prospective clients who become clients. It will take some time to get to this level particularly if you are just starting out. And thats okay. Just remember that marketing your business is a full-time activity and should reflect you just as performing your service does. Have some fun with it! Aromatherapy Presents A Unique Way Of Relaxing By Uplifting The Spirit

April 24th, 2008 by edytachaar

By Tim Gorman Many people are getting into aromatherapy as a way to relax and renew energy. If you would like to try aromatherapy in your home, there are a variety of essential oils and fragrances that you can use. In order to use these oils and fragrances, you need a diffuser. A diffuser is simply a device that will distribute the scent of the oils in various directions. When you use a diffuser, though, it is vital that you take the necessary safety precautions. Before using a diffuser, carefully read the instructions and follow it down to the letter. This is for your own safety. Herbal and health stores carry essential oils and fragrances that you can use for aromatherapy. You can combine essential oils and fragrances to create interesting scents. By experimenting with the scents, you can come up with your own unique blends, ones that relax you the most and help lift up your spirit. To experience these creative blends, place a few drops of the oil into the diffuser. Give it a few minutes and the wonderful scent will spread throughout your home. You can diffuse different scents each day; the only limits are your creativity, imagination and “scents” of adventure! Aromatherapy can be a wonderful gift you can give to someone who needs a bit of renewal and uplifting — perhaps a fellow co-worker who has been working non-stop for a week, a family member who needs a night of simply relaxing at home or a friend who loves to try out new things. Give that someone a diffuser along with the essential oils you have tried and liked. If you have been blending essential oils and fragrances, include those in your aromatherapy gift. Halitosis Means Bad Breath

April 22nd, 2008 by edytachaar

By Felicia Williams Bad breath is an unpleasant condition. It is an embarrassment for those who know about it and an inconvenience to others when people with bad breath are not aware of their problem. If you are concerned about bad breath then meet your dentist to identify and treat the problem. Factors that contribute to bad breath Foods like garlic, onion contribute to objectionable odors. These odors continue till it is eliminated from the body. Incase this is a part of your regular diet; then it is a problem you need to rectify in your dietary pattern. Brushing, flossing and mouthwash only serve to mask the odor temporarily. Improper brushing of teeth is responsible for food articles to be retained in the mouth. Bacteria collect on these particles and that causes bad breath. In addition to this the food that collect between teeth give rise to plaque and demineralization of the teeth and also cause gingivitis/ trench mouth disease or rotting of the gums and leave an unpleasant odor. Dry mouth occurs when saliva decreases. Saliva is necessary in the digestion process. Saliva also helps in cleansing the mouth and removing the food particles that cause odor. Dry mouth may be the result of you breathing through the mouth or medications. Remedies include increasing your fluid intake, sugarless candy, or even artificial saliva. Diseases of the respiratory tract or diseases related to the gastrointestinal tract, kidney or liver are another major cause of halitosis. Local infections, chronic sinusitis or bronchitis also contribute to bad breath. Chewing tobacco or betel nut or other oral habits that are bad for health is also detrimental to the oral hygiene and cause bad breath. These also cause discoloration of the teeth. Tooth whitening kits are a general remedy but cannot be used when you have bad gums. Bad breath cure is the first procedure you have to follow. Persistent Bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth is a warning sign of periodontal disease. Caused by plaque this disease caused gum tissues to pull away from the teeth and form pockets. These pockets are sometimes too deep and needed to be cleant by professional periodontal cleaning. Bettering your Oral health This is the major factor to stop halitosis and other diseases of the gum and teeth. Schedule regular dental visits for cleaning and check up. Keep a check on the various food intakes to prevent bad breath. Make a list of medications you take so that your doctor would advise you in case you have a dry mouth. Also let your dentist know of surgeries or illness you have had before you have gone to visit him/her. Regularly brush your teeth with fluoride toothpaste to remove food particles and plaque. Brushing twice a day is effective while brushing after every meal is more effective. Use Dental floss or interdental cleaner to clean between the teeth. Mouth wash is not the solution as it does not have a long lasting effect. A special antimicrobial mouth wash or a fluoride mouthwash along with brushing and flossing can go a long way in preventing tooth decay. Fill your dentures so that these are not a place where food particles and bacteria harbor to cause bad breath. There are many tooth filling procedures; you could have a cap as well. Eliminating periodontal disease is essential to reducing bad breath and effective teeth care. http://www.dentaldean.com is your guide to daily teeth care products, regular extra cleaning and checkups by our dentist. What is the Difference Between a Power Of Attorney and a Guardianship? Which is Appropriate for Some

April 20th, 2008 by edytachaar

By William G. Hammond, JD A power of attorney is a legal document in which one person (the principal) authorizes another (the agent) to act on his/her behalf. Financial powers of attorney allow your agent to make decisions regarding your property. Healthcare powers of attorney allow your agent to make decisions regarding your health care needs. A power of attorney permits you to appoint someone else to manage your financial and business affairs when you cannot do it yourself anymore. This document can be a lifesaver when crisis situations occur after an accident or illness. The agent can do whatever the document allows, such as withdraw bank funds, pay bills, cash checks, and buy and sell real estate. The power of attorney is less costly and more private than a guardianship. Guardianship, on the other hand, is a legal relationship whereby a probate court gives a person (the guardian) the power to make personal decisions for another (the ward). A family member or a friend can initiate the proceedings by filing a petition in the probate court in the county where the individual resides. A medical examination by a licensed physician may be necessary to establish the individuals condition. A court of law will then determine whether the person is unable to meet the essential requirements for his/her health and safety. A conservatorship is a legal relationship whereby the probate court gives a person (the conservator) the power to make financial decisions for another (the protectee). The court proceedings are very similar to those of a guardianship except the court determines whether an individual lacks the capacity to manage his or her financial affairs. If so, the court appoints a conservator to make monetary decisions for the individual. Often the court appoints the same person to act as both guardian and conservator for the individual. Like the guardian, the conservator is required to report to the court yearly. With all this in mind, you should evaluate your situation. What would you do if you could no longer handle your own affairs? You may want to consult with an attorney specializing in Elder Law, who will be able to assist you and advise you in this matter. By doing this now when you still have the time, you will save yourself and your loved ones heartache and financial expenses in the future. About The Author William G. The Suicide/Antidepressant Link in Adults

April 16th, 2008 by edytachaar

By Jeannine Virtue The FDA has acknowledged the link between antidepressants and the increased risk of suicide in children, adolescents and adults are also at risk for suicidal thoughts and actions while taking SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) antidepressants. In 2004 the FDA acknowledged the suicide/antidepressant link with children and now requires “Black Box” labeling to alert parents of the harm that can befall their child while taking antidepressants. That warning has now spread to all age groups. The FDA has now issued a Public Health Advisory (PHA) calling for an update to health care providers and patients about the recent scientific research and publications that there is an increased risk of suicidal thought and behaviors in adults taking antidepressant medication. The FDA, using a similar approach that was used in the evaluation of the risks of increased suicidal thoughts and behaviors in their pediatric studies, requested that manufacturers of antidepressants drugs provide doctors with information from their drug trials. In accordance with the 2nd FDA warning the Public Health Advisory advises patients and health care providers be aware of the following: _ Close observation of adults may be especially important when antidepressant medications are started for the first time or when doses for the specific drugs prescribed have been changed. _ Adults being treated with antidepressant medicines, particularly those being treated for depression, should be watched closely for worsening of depression and for increased suicidal thinking or behavior. _ Adults whose symptoms worsen while being treated with antidepressants, including an increase in suicidal thinking or behavior, should be evaluated by their health care professional. The above recommendations are also consistent with the existing warnings that are in the approved labeling, or package insert, for antidepressant medications. Antidepressants have their place but it is our belief that other options should be exercised before resorting to the potentially dangerous drugs. There are many options in between the wide gap between doing nothing and taking antidepressant medication. In dealing with depression, diet and exercise changes are highly beneficial. Herbal and homeopathic remedies can also offer valuable help in the battle against depression. Jeannine Virtue is a freelance writer who focuses on health related issues. Follow Up And Turn Prospects Into Clients

April 11th, 2008 by edytachaar

By Angela Booth How long does it take to get a client? First, the client has to become aware that we exist, and then that we can solve his problems with our products or services. That growth of awareness is a slow process. It takes time. Let’s say you’ve just sent out a batch of 200 letters, introducing yourself to businesses in your state. You wait, happily anticipating at least a few phone calls. Nothing. You must follow on the 200 letters you sent out. They were simply an introduction. If someone tells me they sent out 200 letters, I know they should have managed to collect from two to five new clients from the exercise. No excuses. Marketing is a numbers game, and worst case scenario, if you send out 200 letters, and follow up diligently, you will get at least two new clients. Where most businesses let themselves down is in the following up process. They either don’t follow up at all, or they follow up in a hit or miss fashion. They fail to even attempt to build a relationship with prospective clients. It’s amazing that some of these businesses survive at all. I’m as guilty of this as everyone else. I get busy too, and let follow-up activities slip. However, if I send out a new mailing, I make a real effort to follow the process through, because I know if I don’t, I’ve just wasted the time and the postage it took to make that mailing. => How to follow up Here’s how to follow up: 1. Have a marketing goal for each month. For example, my marketing goal this month is to get five new clients, and follow up with clients I haven’t heard from for a year. It’s important to have this kind of over-arching marketing goal each month, because it helps you to gain perspective. Each mailing, each phone call and each e-mail message isn’t as important as the overall picture, the amount of persistent marketing you do each day, week, and month. 2. The process begins. You send out your mailing of 200 letters. 3. A week later, follow up with phone calls. Making all the calls, including getting back to the people who didn’t answer the phone because they were in a meeting, on vacation, or whatever will take you another week. 4. Send out material to those who requested it. 5. A week later, follow up with the people you sent material to. 6. A month after the initial mailing, send another mailing to everyone from the original 200 who expressed any interest at all, no matter how slight that interest was. 7. A month after that, send out another mailing, or make phone calls to ALL the prospects who were interested from the first mailing. This means that you’ve contacted the responsives from the 200 you sent the original mailing to at least THREE times. 8. Six months after the first mailing (it’s now three months since they heard from you) follow up with another mailing. 9. Three months later, follow up again. How many clients will you get from that original mailing of 200? My guess, over 12 months, you’ll get at least TEN. Twenty would be excellent. (Remember that from two to five is the very least you’ll get.) Now, let’s imagine that over the next two years, each of those ten clients spends $500 with you. Conservatively, that’s $5000 from one mailing to 200 prospects. It’s also $5000 you won’t earn unless you work on building relationships by following up with your prospects. So when you send a mailing, remember that you need to follow-up. That’s where the money is. Taking Care of Kid’s Clothes

April 10th, 2008 by edytachaar

By Ron Maier Jr. Kids are tough on clothes, so you have to be tough on taking care of them. It can be so frustrating having to buy another pair of jeans, another shirt or jacket because it is just worn out, when they are probably going to grow out of it before long. Some of this wear and tear can be prevented by taking a few extra precautions with your children’s clothing. If you will take note of these simple tips on laundry and storage and spend only a couple extra minutes per day, you can keep your kids clothes looking great. As you are gathering up your kid’s clothes from around the house or out of the clothes hamper, be sure to empty all of the pockets and close all zippers (to keep them from snagging). Make sure you read all of the labels of newer clothes and check the ones you are not sure of, and follow those instructions carefully. Turn each of the colored garments inside out. This prevents a little bit of fading. The normal color separation is then appropriate. Be sure to keep denims and whites separate from colors for the first three or four washes. Make sure all stains are pre-treated and holes or tears are mended before you put them in the washer. Keep lint-producing garments separate from those that attract lint, especially dark colored clothing items, and wash whites in hot water. Of course you should wash bright colors and darks in cold water. Even though dryers are extremely convenient, drying your kid’s clothes on a clothes line will extend their life considerably. If you do decide to use a dryer, you should take the precaution of not overloading it and being sure to remove the clothes as soon as they are dry. Over drying is especially damaging to clothes. Probably one of the most important parts of kid’s clothing protection is storing the clothes properly. Many people do not have the right kinds of hangers to store their kid’s clothes, and as a result, most of those clothes are folded, even if they really need to be hung. Purchasing some childrens clothes hangers will vastly improve the way your kid’s clothes are stored. Childrens coat hangers are also designed to keep those jackets and outer layers stored properly. Some parents think it is silly to use childrens clothes hangers, but they will really make a difference in the lifetime of your kid’s clothes. When it comes to folding, storing kid’s garments in plastic containers will actually preserve them better, and it is important to add cedar chips if your house is known to have moth problems. Just a few simple things and an extra couple of minutes to every wash day can keep your children’s clothes looking new. Kids really are hard on clothes, but you don’t have to stand by and do nothing. Take a little action and save yourself the trouble of replacing your kid’s clothes too soon.
